Power In Decision

You could not begin to decide what is wanted if you did not have the contrast of what is not wanted—and from your broader Nonphysical perspectives, as creators, you understand that what a decision is is a literal focusing of Energy. In other words, everything is about Energy, and the way you express it, the way you focus it, the way you channel it, the way you guide it, the way you utilize it, the way you become a part of it, the way you get involved in it. The way you become a creative force, utilizing Energy, is by your perspective, by your belief, by your attention, by your focus, by your decision. Can you feel the difference in the power in saying, “I would like to have that or I want that” and “I’ve decided.” In decision, there is simply a focusing of Energy, and our dominant intent, as we are interacting with you here—is to help you understand, without any question whatsoever, how to know, how to sense or feel, whether you are a vibrational match to your own decision. Excerpted from the Abraham-Hicks Quarterly Journal - Oct/Nov/Dec 1997

The decisions I’ve been making lately are as varied as the many aspects of my life. But none is so strong within me as the decision that I WILL RELEASE THIS WEIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL! I am simply through thinking in terms of “trying”, or “hoping”. I have decided this physical incarnation of mine will not end in me still wanting to be thin, I will accomplish my goal and live as a thin person for the rest of my time in physical. I will do it. I will experience that reality.

I am through living in this body and feeling almost helpless to change it. In my past, that decision has always been made in desperation out of the discomfort of contrast, and it has never lasted much past the easing of the contrast. I’ve known I could change my weight in increments for a limited amount of time. However never has the ultimate knowing that “I can do this, once and for all” lasted for any longer than the actual weight loss has, usually much less. I’ve never had much faith in my decision making or my ability to let the weight finally go.

What I’ve discovered recently is that making a decision to do something once and for all and faith itself are intrinsically linked. The key to one is in the other. I mean a decision, no matter how firm, will fizzle pretty quickly without any faith in oneself to accomplish the goal. And faith alone will eventually attract what we want, but not as surely as it does when reinforced by the decision that we “will have” whatever it is.

Due to Jerry Hicks often discussed recommendation, I’ve been reading Napoleon Hill’s Think And Grow Rich. In the book Hill discusses faith as being a choice. I’ve honestly never thought about it that way before. I always thought faith was something you either had or were lacking, and the idea that I could actually create faith in my life was a new thought to me. I’ve felt pretty much the same way about making decisions, when contrast is high, decisions come easy, but sustaining those decisions to me has always seemed something more involved with fate than choice.

But then I read Hill talk about faith as a choice . . . he says it’s something that can be induced and developed and he even tells us how, and I love it.

I simply adore discovering that faith can be cultivated. That’s a concept I’ve woefully pleaded to better understand most of my life. “God please, tell me how to have more faith . . . in you, in myself, in my ability to create my life.”

I love knowing that even the amount of faith I have is within my power to choose.

That realization also led to me seeing that sustaining the decisions I make are exactly the same . . . that both the determination of decision making and faith itself require daily focus and choice.

Make a decision about what you want, focus your attention there, and find the feeling-place of it -- and you are there instantly. There is no reason for you to suffer or struggle your way to or through anything. Excerpted from the Abraham-Hicks book Ask and It Is Given, page 291

I don’t know exactly what tools will work best to get me to my goal, however to be honest, I find that to be the most exciting part of the process. Delightfully expecting what awarenesses Spirit has on the way to me to help me on this path. I’m learning to trust myself and to look to Source for the inspiration to stay determined, faith filled and to succeed.

That’s what I want.” And we say, no that isn’t what you want. What you want is the excuse to get to go from here to over there. It’s the day-to-day unfolding. It’s the meaning of interaction. It’s the stimulation of thought. It’s the new ideas that flow to you. It’s the thrill of formulating a decision and knowing you’re nowhere near vibrational harmony with the decision. And then it’s the thrill of getting a little closer to it and feeling the relief of it clicking into place, and then the thrill of feeling the expanded thought bringing expanded information and different people and different understanding. And then it’s the thrill of chewing on that and coming to a greater conclusion. And then its the thrill of knowing I’m still not quite in vibrational harmony with the new expanded vision. It is so satisfying to mold Energy, more than molding clay, more than painting on a board, more than writing words in a book. There is nothing in all of the Universe more delicious than to be physically focused with this dramatic contrast that abounds and feeling the clarity of your thought and the culminating of your decision and the alignment of your Energy with the decision and then feeling the forces of the Universe, the Energy that creates worlds, flowing with you for the promotion of that idea.
I'm back to enjoying eating healthy!

It’s not a New Year’s resolution, it’s more of a flat out, I’ve had enough . . . it’s time to create something different decision.

For me, 2009 was about taking Spiritual responsibility for my life and seeing myself as the creator that I truly am. About accepting that I’ve created every aspect of what I’m living and even bigger for me . . . accepting that I can change and recreate every aspect of it anew.

That second part has been the hard one for me. I don’t know how to explain but it’s easy for me to accept that I’ve created where I am, but not so easy to believe that I can create something different. I know that sounds silly, but it’s how I’ve felt in the past. 2009 has been about me coming into my own power, me finally being able to see that I am the creator, I am the one who chooses what I experience.

So a couple of days ago, I stepped on the scale, I knew I was getting up there, and I wasn’t surprised that the scale reflected back to me the highest weight of my life. I’ve regained everything I released before and 10 pounds on top of that. I’m only 20 pounds away from a benchmark I never, ever, EVER want to experience. In seeing the number on the scale and accepting responsibility for obtaining it, I began to feel a quite determination. I felt determined to stop the upward climb I’ve been on and instead return to what I know works for me and go the other way.

No fireworks, or rockets declaring I’ve had enough, just a subtle, quiet determination that I want to create something different, completely different, and the wonderful feeling of confidence that I can do exactly that.

So that day, I began loading on the vegetables and enjoying every minute of it. In fact I'm surprised how great they’ve been tasting considering it's winter and none of them are really fresh like in summer. I’ve made big pots of veggie soups and stews, loaded with fresh vegetables and seasonings, but very little fat.

I've got such a wonderful mind set that even veggies I was never that fond of in the past are tasting wonderful to me now. I usually feel that there are no fresh vegetables when there is snow on the ground. But I’ve discovered that was just an excuse for not eating healthy in the winter, there are lots of fresh vegetable choices when the snow is here, maybe not as many as in summer, but still lots of choices!

I went back to loosely following the Weight Watchers Points system. I like counting points and I know that for me it works, I do release weight when I’m using it. I don’t feel the need to go to the “support group” classes. I find the weighing in each week focuses too much on where I am, and the lectures tend to sound more fearful to me than joyous and expectant. But I do love the plan.

I started using a food journal again, recording what I eat and enjoying it too. However, this feels different, I'm not being anal about it, I'm just doing it because it's fun. I don't care if I balance the points perfectly, or if I go over or under a bit, I just am having fun playing with points, eating healthier and drinking lots and lots of water.

All of that feels wonderful to me right now, but being an Aber I know that none of the action I take is as important as how I feel about the situation. It’s my vibration of confidence, joy and delightful expectation that is changing my life.

“If you are experiencing a physical condition that has your attention, you are, through your attention to your current condition, projecting it into your future experience. But, by focusing on a different future experience, you are now activating that different experience; and as you project that changed experience into your future, you leave your current experience behind.” Excerpted from Abraham-Hicks Ask and It Is Given Perpetual Flip Calendar

So the most wonderful thing is not what I’m eating, it’s that I’ve got my focus on my Heart’s Desire back. I feel so confident that I can do this now. I’m excited about the weight just melting off my body. I know I can create it, and more importantly I don’t feel like it’s something illusive or short-lived anymore.

I know that all I have to do to stay focused and determined is to make a decision each day to allow my body to find it's perfect weight. It's not a lifelong battle, it's just a daily decision to stay focused and determined.

And I'm so happy to be focused on “what will be” instead of what “appears” now! I'm looking forward to being able to walk for enjoyment and meditation again! I'm excited to begin fitting into my clothes and shoes easily again. I'm excitedly expecting my flexibility to return and even be improved over the past! I'm thrilled about developing new tastes and desires!

I can feel my passion for my Heart’s Desire of releasing weight and allowing my body to find it’s own perfection returning to me and it feels wonderful!

“Every cell in your body has a direct relationship with Creative Life Force, and each cell is independently responding. When you feel joy, all the circuits are open and the Life Force or God Force can be fully received. When you feel guilt or blame or fear or anger, the circuits are hindered and the Life Force cannot flow as effectively. Physical experience is about monitoring those circuits and keeping them as open as possible. The cells know what to do. They are summoning the Energy.” Excerpted from an Abraham-Hicks workshop in Chicago, IL on Sunday, November 2nd, 1997

I have amazing confidence in 2010 being the year I really start creating a new version of my life! I get excited just thinking about “2010”, it’s going to be a powerful year for me and I’m sure for you too.

I do have one resolution, or really a goal for this year . . . to share it more with you!

I’m back on track, I’m creating a new body, a new life, and I’m hoping you’ll join me for the journey!

I’m huge! I'm bigger than I’ve ever been before in my life. And yet my weight, recently has became an equally huge gift to me. I’ve mentioned this before, that when I look in the mirror I cannot deny what a powerful creator I am simply because of physical proof of the amount of extra weight on my body.

Creating is creating and every ounce is there, staring back at me as evidence that I am a powerful creator. Not creating what I want necessarily, but powerfully creating what I’ve been focused upon for all these years.

I look around and most people couldn’t possibly eat enough to get to where I am, weight wise, today. With my mind I have turned my body into a fat storing machine extraordinaire. Oh, I know the average American is overweight, but the majority of them are between 20 and maybe 100 pounds overweight. I’m not talking about average, I’m talking about extraordinary weight.

I know this is going to sound funny, but just as a professional athlete must believe in their ability to be successful, they must use mental focus and determination to obtain success, a truly fat person uses the same skills, they just don’t do it consciously. To really be extraordinarily fat, one must believe in their ability to be fat wholeheartedly. Like the athlete must believe in their ability to win, fat people must believe that fat is a distinctly possible reality for them.

The average person may be able think of themselves with a few extra pounds, they may be fearful that if they overindulge over the holidays they may put on 5 or even up to 20 extra pounds, but to carry around the extra weight I carry would be incomprehensible to them. I know because I occasionally see it in their eyes when they look at me, not disapproval . . . incomprehension. “How did you create that?”

For the truly fat person, that is the question. Because in my experience we don’t believe we really created it at all. Let’s face it, if we really could connect that that bag of chips was a direct link to the huffing and puffing after climbing a set of stairs, we’d drop the bag. There is a mysterious thing that happens when we pop open that bag, we honestly don’t intellectually get that those wonderful tasting chips can harm us in any way. How could something that feels so good in that moment be bad for us? As we fill our mouths, we disassociate what is going in our bodies with what extra is on our bodies. Until the delight turns to guilt and pervasive social ideas of what we are doing sinks in and that vibration turns our bodies into fat making machines.

But we don’t think about that, generally I think we feel like gaining weight was something that happens to us. Either food is simply not our friend, or our body is just built the way slender peoples bodies are, or the Universe has worked against us, or it’s the fault of the diet industry, blah, blah, blah.

Whatever the reason, we can’t feel the connection between being truly responsible for what we’ve done to ourselves because we can’t honestly understand how we’ve done it. The link between our actions and our body is never truly made in our minds. Because let’s face it, if it did connect those culturally believed dots, we’d change our actions and from what everyone says . . . change our bodies.

The honest truth is it isn’t a link between our actions and our bodies that created the extra weight. It’s not that bag of chips, or our lack of exercise, it’s our thinking. Our belief that we are capable of creating excessive weight created it for us. Our focus upon it’s possibility is the catalyst that creates it as a reality.

We must understand that just like that professional athlete, there is something special about us, our ability to create what we strongly focus upon in a powerful way. We tend to give credit to the hugely successful and famous as the only powerful creators in the world. We don’t see that there are incredibly powerful creators in plus size shops, prisons, AA meetings, soup kitchens, third world countries and hospitals too. In fact when you take the positive/negative connotation off of creating, it’s possible to see magnificent creating at it’s purest form everywhere you look. In extremes of every conceivable form.

Until I really got that I created my magnificently obese body in all it’s glory, and have begin to take responsibility for the powerful energy it has taken for me TO create it, I had no chance of changing it permanently.

It’s why diets don’t really work, because they too simply take the responsibility out of my hands. If I do X, Y and Z for the rest of my life, I will be thin. Yet, I’ve learned no matter what X, Y and Z is, when it is someone else’s X, Y and Z (or program, or book, or diet plan, or idea) it won’t work for any length of time for me.

So what I learned recently is until I fully accept my powerful artistic responsibility for creating where I am now, all of it, magnificently, I will continue to create more of it. I must accept that every single ounce of extra fat on my body is a manifestation of my amazing, glorious power to create anything I focus upon intently in my life. Even the stuff I don’t want to create.

Most people do not realize that thinking about something is inviting the essence of that "something" into their experience. Pg 23 of Abraham-Hicks "The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent"

Within that acceptance comes a huge gift, If I accept that I had the power to create it, then I’ve also got to accept that I have the power to change it and create the opposite. It really IS that simple.

I have thought my way into morbid obesity, I therefore CAN think my way to slender, energetic and vibrant. Through my vibration of strong focus on confusion, pushing against and easily attracting weight, I have created just that in physical. Therefore by changing my vibration to one of strong focus on understanding, allowing vibrancy and health and easily releasing weight, I can attract that too.

I have been all over the map lately with releasing weight and everything else in my life. I’m in a place of big upheaval and I am so welcoming the changes that are coming. I’ve been asking for fresh awareness for a while now and it’s coming in from every direction. The wonderful thing is that as it comes in from each area of my life, I can see how it’s all interconnected.

This Spiritual/Physical life is like a tapestry with a million different colored threads coming together to create an amazing picture. I’m not too sure about the people who actually create tapestries, but in my case, I can never tell how one colored thread is going to interact with another, but I’m beginning to understand they are all connected. Each one of them a path to the answer to the others.

What I’m trying to say here is that it’s come to my awareness lately that all of the areas of my life that I’m less than thrilled with are all part of a Spiritual plan to guide me toward the one big answer to them all. I’m beginning to see that there is only one answer. Which Abraham-Hicks has been saying for years.

Someone said, "I have 27 questions." And we said, we have one answer: You like knowing that you are the creator of your experience. You like knowing that everyone else is too. You like knowing that Source supports you in everything that you desire, and that there is nothing that you can identify, whether you articulate it or not, that the Universe withholds from you. All things are given in the moment that you ask. When you are specific about what you want, and you find that Path of Least Resistance, and Energy flows through you toward your inspired idea--that is life at its very best. Excerpted from Abraham-Hicks Stop Fixing And Start Savoring

Quite honestly the simplicity of their message sometimes tends to be too simple for me, I’ve found recently that it’s a little more complex for me than “just look for the better feeling thought”. I’ve been doing that for years and there haven’t been the big changes in my life for which I've been looking. Not the changes I’ve been wanting anyway and I’ve never been able to figure out what is blocking me.

So recently I’ve been studying how to change my relationship with money, another colored thread in my life. I listened to a couple of free teleclass calls in the last week from Elyse Hope Killoran. In a couple of ways they were incredibly informative. Such as helping me to see exactly what my vibration is that I’ve been sending out to the Universe on both money and weight.

I’ve got to admit I was kind of shocked, after studying Abraham-Hicks for 7 ½ years, to find out that my vibration around money really is very different from what I thought it was. But that makes perfect sense, or else I'd be rich.

It of course led me to question the vibration I’m sending out about my body, being overweight and food in general, which I realized were also very different from what I thought they were.

Both completely explain why I’ve been so up and down on my path to releasing weight and attracting abundance. With Abraham I’ve changed so many aspects of my life completely. I’ve found peace and comfort in a way I never dreamed was possible before. Yet I’ve never understood why I couldn’t quite extend it over to effect my abundance and weight.

What I discovered is that even though I’ve become a very positive and optimistic person, I still have these old tapes running in my subconscious. Abraham-Hicks has taught me to change my thinking, and I have, at least my conscious thinking. I do it all the time, but I discovered there are very old scripts that are still playing somewhere deep inside me. Old belief system thinking that may not seem or feel all that powerful, but simply by their existence powerfully effect my vibration. So much so that no matter how happily I walk through my day, the combination of new thinking and old beliefs keeps me stuck where I am and recreating more of the same in my life.

I honestly never before thought as vividly in terms of what I’m transmitting to the Universe. Intellectually I accepted myself as a vibrational being, but I didn’t think of myself as a transmitter, or about what messages I’m actually sending out to Source. It was really eye opening.

When I dug into those old subconscious scripts I found some pretty powerful and negative stuff still lingering there. Basically my vibration has become that I’m a very happy, fat woman. I’m a very Spiritual, fat woman. I’m a peaceful, joyous and did I mention . . . fat woman. Yeah, that’s a vibration that’s sure to recreate more happy fatness in my life. I’ve got the same thing going on in my thinking with money too.

As negative as that may sound, I can’t tell you how grateful I am to be seeing this for the first time. To actually get a feeling for what and how I’m vibrating. It all makes so much sense to me in regard to what I’ve been receiving.

So I’ve been really digging into my vibration lately, I’ve been looking at exactly what my mindset is when I’m sitting in the drive-thru waiting for my fast food super hamburger or footlong coney. I’ve been thinking about my vibration when I dig into that bag of chips or when I head back to the refrigerator, even though I’m not hungry.

At those times there is no desperation, I’ve eliminated desperation from my life. However there is no passion either. It’s more of a numbed feeling of doing something by rote. Doing something I’ve been doing so long in the same way that I don’t even realize it’s contributing to my vibration.

This brings me back to my tapestry, the fact that everything is interconnected in my life. I don't know if I ever would have thought of what my weight vibration is had it not been for me looking for abundance answers. With it I also received a blossoming sense how all of the areas of my life are Spiritual, and that they are all related to one big answer. My vibration and what I’m transmitting out to the Universe is that answer . . . what I’m transmitting about my weight, my value, abundance, family, health . . . everything.

So yes, I’m truly grateful and happy to be aware of this, to begin to understand overall what makes up my vibration. Because that means I’m on the path to changing it. In fact the changes have already started, just my awareness of it started the process of changing it immediately.

Next, I learn how to take control of my vibration and begin being selective about what messages I transmit to Spirit. Sounds pretty exciting to me.

So, what are you vibrating/transmitting?

Much Love,
Tigerlily

The Allowing A Perfect Body Vibration

Hello my friends,

I’m not only back on my blog, but I’m back into the Allowing A Perfect Body vibration! I’m back to thinking healthy, eating healthy, and being healthy! And it feels wonderful!!!

I received Abraham-Hicks “Think And Get Slim: Natural Weight Loss CD. I listened to it the first time and was thrilled with how many unique thoughts and potential awareness it brought to me. It’s going to be so much to mull over and write about.

As is common for me with Abraham-Hicks, I will listen to it over and over and each time I will get something different out of it. It is just full of amazing weight related information, awareness and inspiration.

Overall I think the biggest thing I got out of it listening the first time is a confirmation that when I am in the Allowing A Perfect Body mindset, when I get absolutely convinced I’m doing the best things for myself, when I get excited about releasing weight, when I’m eating rainbows of fresh veggies and fruits, when I’m lighthearted, excited and absolutely pumped about creating a healthy, thinner life . . . that’s when the weight just disappears from my body.

Looking back on last year when I lost 50 pounds (post surgery it was actually more than 50), I realize that when I was in that exquisite Allowing A Perfect Body attitude, releasing the weight wasn’t hard at all. The hardest part at the time was the logistics of eating; . . . what . . . when . . . how much . . . where. That was the only slightly complicated thing in releasing the weight. The rest of it was really automatic once I got into the place of allowing.

The place of allowing . . . lately Abraham-Hicks is calling it the vortex, that place where everything flows naturally, the attitude of self love. It’s the mindset where we offer little if any resistance and allow our dreams to materialize. Abraham talks about it a lot in the CD, in fact they always come back to that in every conversation. It’s the key to attracting anything . . . thinness, money/abundance, success, love or anything else.

I realized when I’m in my AAPB place of allowing, it’s my vibration that actually does all the work for me, it attracts “thin” to me. When I “get out of the way” by being in that mindset, I allow my body to do what it naturally wants to do, which is to let go of what I don’t need and find it’s place of physical balance and health.

When I think about last year, once I got there, I found it pretty easy to stay in the allowing place. My AAPB vibration built upon itself, the longer I did it, the more natural it felt to me and the easier it became. At the time I didn’t think of myself as vibrating “thin”. That’s not something I would have ever seen myself as doing, but I realize now that’s exactly what was happening. And that’s going to be something I focus on strongly this time.

Because in spite of my massive body . . . I felt thin. I felt empowered. I knew I was on to something wonderful. I was succeeding and I felt like the “thin” me, inside me, already. And that was the second strong point I picked up from listening to the CD the first time, that we have to be able to see something different for ourselves than what our reality appears to be right now. We have to make peace with where we are, in order to be able to envision something different. Because as long as we hold on desperately to the reality of the reflection we see in the mirror, we aren’t allowing ourselves to change it.

Make peace with where you are. Appreciate your magnificent body as it is. Appreciate that it moves and that it is flexible and that it digests, that it assimilates. Accept the cellular metabolism, the cellular functioning. Your body is a veritable chemical factory. It is an amazing mechanism. It is morphing constantly into that which is new. It is constantly becoming. It will be whatever you ask it to be. It will be whatever you ask it and allow it to be. It will be whatever you want it and allow it to be. It will be whatever you ask and allow it. It will be whatever you see it to be. It will be whatever you EXPECT it to be!

And most of you can't expect passed what is. That's your limitation. You find it hard to expect passed what is. Stretch that expectation by listening, by feeling for it. And when you start feeling . . . oh, if you could feel what Source expects for you . . . and that's why so often you feels such strong negative emotion . . . that's that fear and inadequacy you describe. When you look at yourself so differently than they way Source looks at you, when you don't expect good things from you . . . because Source is expecting such wonderful things from you . . . there's a cross current going on . . . You have to see as you want it to be. Never mind what is. What is does not mean diddly squat. What is doesn't matter. It's just a point in time, a momentary, manifestational indicator of how you've been thinking. Think differently and it will shift. IT will morph with your thoughts every single time. Excerpted from an Abraham-Hicks (Abraham-hicks.com) workshop in Sedona, AZ on August 25, 2007.

So today when I look in my mirror, I’m seeing my beautiful smile, I’m seeing my sparkling eyes, I’m seeing a joyous and delightfully expectant attitude. I’m seeing the love of Grace reflected back to me. I’m seeing a woman who is back in the Allowing A Perfect Body vibration, and she’s beautiful and amazing!

What do you see . . . ?

I’ve been walking this intentional Spiritual path for 16 years, and I’ve been a student of Abraham-Hicks for 7, and I had developed to a place where I was very comfortable in my understanding of the Universe, my role in it, and my Spiritual beliefs. I believed that being Spiritually centered was just who I was now, it was how I thought about life, and how I reacted to everything. I never got angry, I rarely got even frustrated, most of the time I was truly a happy, loving and Spiritually focused person. I had begun to take it for granted.

When I look back now, the last few months illuminated for me that I had become a bit arrogant about it all. I was proud of myself for being a woman who never got sucked into anyone else’s frustrations, much less their battles. One who was always deeply serene, centered and joyful. I was a voice of peace, love and soothing when interacting with others. I simply didn't allow anyone else's contrast to effect my life, I refused to let my vibration be lowered to any other level.

Sure I experienced contrast as a part of life, but I chose not to let it determine how I felt about my life. And through Abraham I realized being that feeling good was my birthright. What I didn’t realize that it was something that I had to hold on to and consciously nurture in order to maintain it. I thought I'd become immune to feeling disconnected. I mean I had my days of feeling more connected than others, even weeks, but I always felt my connection was a major part of who I was, something I could completely depend upon being there for me always.

The teachings of Abraham taught me that I get to choose my thoughts and how I react to everything. In 2008 I Gracefully lived through first, my dear Mother’s crossing over, and then faced major surgery feeling strong in my beliefs. I faced both with my Spiritual strength never for a moment wavering. After those events, I was so Spiritually confident that I didn’t think anything could seriously shake me, I thought my Spirituality was secure regardless what happened in my life. But in the aftermath of the anesthesia, my physical recovery, my old habits of self nurturing, and many other things, an overall feeling of numbness overcame me and I began to feel very lost.

My life passion had been expanding my thinking and creating my life through meditation and reading Spiritual books, but I got to a point where I felt so disconnected I could hardly open anything enlightening. When I did, I felt resistance, or worse, numbness. I didn’t know why I had become so resistant to the very part of me that had meant the most to me before. I just missed it terribly. While I wasn’t angry or upset, I was as close to depression as I’ve been since I began my Spiritual path. In the 16 years I've been on this Journey, I've never experienced as profound, or as long a feeling of separation as I have been feeling most of the last 10 months. I know the surgical anesthesia used on me was a trigger for me, (I’d experienced it as a trigger for depression many years ago) but I thought I was Spiritually strong enough that it wouldn’t happen this time.

And during all of this I gained back every ounce I released and became uncomfortable, frustrated and confused with most every aspect of my life, which only deepened the upstream spiral in which I was caught. Once I'd learned how wonderful connection feels, feeling disconnected felt so much worse than it ever had before in the past.

“The faster your vortex spins and the more you have put in it, then the more responsible you must be in being inside of it. Because the more you ask for a wonderful life, anytime you hold thoughts that don't hold you in there . . . You could have a thousand things that when you think about take you right into the vortex, and ONE thing, like a son, that you care about that you think a lot about, that holds you outside the vortex. In other words, it doesn't mean there are big, big, BIG things going on. It means you want to be in there and you're not, because you think thoughts that don't let you stay in.” Excerpted from an Abraham-Hicks workshop in San Antonio, TX on 4/18/09

However, I now realize I created the situation with a purpose, including the trigger. Because I realize I create everything in my life.

Looking back now I see now that I didn’t see then how much I had already become the woman I had always wanted to be. I have a tendency in life to always focus on how far I have yet to go, so much so that I don’t give myself credit for how far I’ve already come. I see now, that before it all happened I had been doing some very strong asking. As happy as I was, I wasn’t anywhere near content with my life. I looked at the things I still considered wrong with my life and used them as reasons to not give myself credit for how far I’d come, or for the joy I felt in my life. As happy as I had become, there was always a dark cloud of un-created desires hanging over my life, a feeling of “if only” . . .

If only I were thinner . . .

If only I had more money . . .

If only I could actually hear my inner voice speak to me . . .

Feeling disconnected has taught me a deeper appreciation for being connected. I’ve learned that yet created desires are special, to be appreciated and nurtured but not held up as standards to judge myself for where I stand now. I've learned to appreciate my joy and to not take it for granted.

I realize now that it’s all part of living as a Spiritual person, the ups, the downs, the connection and the illusion of disconnection. Because as Abraham says, there is no disconnection, we are always connected, we just may not be allowing the awareness of our connection.

It’s all part of the journey and it’s all beautiful. The past 10 months haven’t felt so great, but the blessing is that I get to choose today to feel wonderful again, even more wonderful than in the past. Today I get to take the good lessons and then gently shut the door on what has been, and then to turn to embrace what is today.

I get to re-create myself again. I get to re-release the pounds I put back on, and to know it will be just as easy this time as it was last year. I get to enjoy releasing them again as much if not more than I enjoyed it last summer. I get to experience my determination and focus again. I get to accept my vulnerability and to accept my strength and to know that I am a Grace filled woman who is capable of both.

I get to choose my outlook again. I get to choose that everything I’ve experienced was designed by Grace and I together, not to frustrate me, but to enhance my life.

I get to appreciate the illusion of disconnection, because for me it sure has enhanced the feeling of being connected again.

“The heaven you are hoping for is here in the moment of your joy. And the hell you fear is here in the absence of your joy. That's it!” Excerpted from an Abraham-Hicks workshop in San Antonio, TX on 11/17/07b

And I get to learn new lessons to share with you.

With much love,

It’s been almost a year since my last entry. The year has been full, and so have I. After the surgery to remove the cyst, I attracted every pound I released right back to me. However the great news is, while it took me 3 months to release it, it took almost a full year to attract it back. I can live with that.

Looking back I see clearly why I attracted the weight back to me. The only way I ever learned to comfort myself is with food, and this past year has been one of necessary self comforting for me. I was shaken physically and emotionally much more by the surgery than I admitted or realized and I slipped back so easily into old patterns of eating, thinking and allowing mindlessness.

Spirituality for me is like the ocean tides, some times it’s easy for me to keep my focus and live magically. Other times I have to work at it, as if the tides are out and I have to make the effort to remember who I am, what I believe and the truth of life. But this year has been a new experience for me, I haven’t felt anything like it since I started on my Spiritual path, I haven’t felt this . . . well . . . lost before.

I can’t fully explain where I’ve been, how I’ve been feeling or what my thinking has been, and as an Aber, I realize that dwelling on those things isn’t a good idea anyway. The closest to describing it is I simply felt lost. There was no true intention behind my actions, only following my ego and allowing myself to do whatever it took to make myself feel “better”. Even though I never seemed to get to the feeling of better, only a feeling of more, more, more. That endless craving to fill the void.

For those of you familiar with Abraham-Hicks Emotional Scale, (I’ve created a separate entry for it, see Abraham-Hicks The Emotional Scale) I usually live in the top seven emotions and rarely dip to 8 or below. But this past year I’ve been dwelling between 7 and 16. Never truly upset, just numbly going from mild contentment to feelings of discouragement.

I’ve been an Aber long enough though that I don’t feel bad about this past year. I realize it had it’s purpose. I appreciate where I was much more because of it. I have a much more clear picture of what it means to follow my Heart’s Desire. I have a much deeper appreciation of the path I was on and how important it truly is to me. I feel so much love for this blog and how connected it is to be releasing weight and creating the life I want to be living.

It’s amazing to me the strength I feel, flowing in through my fingers as I type these words. As if my connection to Source, the Angels and the Universe is circling through me, my fingers on the keyboard, the internet, each of you, the Universe and back to me. And with each wave, I feel stronger and stronger in my determination and resolve to Allow My Perfect Body to blossom.

I guess I had to loose a bit of my connection in order to genuinely appreciate how unimaginatively wonderful it is to feel connected again.

A few days ago I ordered Abraham-Hicks Think and Get Slim CD and I can’t wait till I receive it and can listen to Esther and Abraham talk specifically about the subject that is closest to my heart. I can’t wait to blog about it too.

So if you are still with me, or new to my blog, I again invite you to join me on this exciting adventure of mine. I’m back on track, I’m starting from square one and I know in my heart that I can create my life exactly as I want it to be, because I will never give up. I can allow my body to find it’s perfect place of personal balance. For today, I know the first step on any path is always appreciation.

So . . . I’m so grateful to have this blog to record it all. And I'm truly grateful for anyone out there reading it and sharing the journey with me.

Much love,
Tigerlily

Abraham-Hicks The Emotional Scale

Abraham-Hicks Emotional Scale

I’d say that’s a pretty darn good way to spend my summer!

When I started this I couldn’t look at the whole picture, it was simply too overwhelming so I set up a first goal to release 50 pounds. Since I know it’s important to set clear goals, my intention was that it be “mostly belly fat”. That’s where I need to release it most. However I said “mostly” because I wanted to stay open minded and trust my body to release it from wherever it needs to come off me first.

So I’m almost to my first goal and I admit it feels really wonderful. My clothes are all getting big, or at lease very loose and comfortable, and I feel much better. I’m also starting to see the beginning evidence of a female shape to my body again.

This should give you some indication as to how huge I was/am. 43 pounds gone and I’ve not really gone down a whole size, I’m still wearing the clothes I was, they just fit me much better. Not to downplay how important letting go of 43 pounds is, because it’s wonderful. I look much, much different/better when I look in the mirror. However, I still have lots and lots of pounds to release.

So anyone who thinks that the 20, 40, 60, 80, 100+ extra pounds they see in the mirror is intimidating, well darlings, don’t sweat it. Even after 43 pounds, I still have more to release than you do, and if I can do it, so can you!!!

The surprise part however is that I’ve attracted/created one little glitch.

See for years I’ve had this huge belly. Think of 9 months pregnant all the time, or a beer belly extraordinaire. I have one of those belly’s that people see on someone else and they go “tisk, tisk, what a shame. How did she ever let herself get that way?”

There’s a medical term for it, but I honestly find the term so repulsive and degrading I wouldn’t use it if my life depended upon it. I spent a very long time being ashamed of my belly. Lowering my eyes when someone would look at me with ridicule in theirs. Wishing it would just go away. Wondering how it got so big, when it felt like I blinked and went from overweight to huge. I blame it for causing the back pain I’ve experienced for the last few years. I knew carrying the huge weight of pure fat on my front caused excess strain to my back. Yes, I had lots of negative feelings about it, not the least of which were my feelings of helplessness on how I could ever get “rid of it”.

Eventually though with Abraham I learned to look at my massive belly and see it as positive evidence of my sensational creative power. I created something rare in this world of six pack abs, navel rings and flat bikini/Speedo stomachs. Though I created it mostly unconsciously, I eventually learned to take creative responsibility for it none the less. It’s my body, and my belly and in a socially incomprehensible way, I became very proud of what I’d created. Finding that pride gave me the peace and freedom needed for me to take responsibility for letting it go.

In coming to this place of peace with my belly I also have to fess up to some other thoughts about it. Such as for years when I’d watch health channel or makeover shows about plastic surgery, or people with large growths being removed, the thought would enter my mind how nice it would be if they could just remove my belly for me. Cut it out, suck it out, tuck it up . . . whatever, it all looked easier than trying to “lose” it from my old perspective of “diets don’t work”.

Now I must admit, I never truly focused on those thoughts, I poo pooed them instantly as not something I really wanted to experience. But the idea that it might be something other than just fat did appeal to me. That maybe there was something more going on than just fat, and thereby I wouldn’t be completely responsible (through my eating) for my belly being as big as it was.

I also made many correlations between my massive belly and pregnancy. Now I’ve never been pregnant, so I have a slightly romanticized idea of the whole process. But I often likened where I’ve been lately with a spiritual sort of pregnancy. Where instead of resulting in a new infant, I thought of it as giving birth to my new self. It was a comforting analogy that jived easily with my huge tummy and romantic spiritual nature.

So as I dropped the weight “mostly from my belly” things inside there started shifting. As silly as this sounds, there wasn’t as much room in there as there had been. I had retained a lot of water in that massive belly, which was the first thing I released, and as the water started leaving, things started tightened up. Until one quiet Sunday evening, I found myself in excruciating abdominal pain.

I have no desire to go into the details of what transpired in the next few weeks. But the gist of it is I found out that those little “wouldn’t that be easier” thoughts, combined with my other stronger desires . . . were very, very creative.

I was told that I have a cyst, a huge cyst, the size of a soccer ball/watermelon/basketball (depending on the health professional I talk to) inside this huge belly of mine, and as the pounds have come off, it’s become easy to see what is left is as much fat, as cyst.

The moment I was told about the cyst, I instantly understood how the Universe and I together had created everything. I saw how my wonderful Spiritual Guides inspired me to start releasing weight so that I’d discover this cyst. I saw how I/my body created the cyst in answer to a strange but powerful combination of my thoughts, my desires and my vibration.

Of course, ultimately it has to be removed . . . surgically. I’ve been going through tests, ultrasounds, CAT scans, various probing medical exams and doctor visits and sometime in the next few weeks I’ll have to go in for surgery.

The good thing is the excruciating pain eased up, slowly over the course of about a week. It came and was intense enough and lasted just long enough to force me to seriously investigate what was wrong. (Though we never discovered what exactly was causing the initial pain.) Now I just have symptomatic pangs occasionally, and I get tired very easily. After working all day, I’m simply exhausted. I’m being forced to learn how to take very good care of myself. Even better than I was before I found out.

I also admit that it has helped me to release a few of my 43 pounds. The pain during that first week helped me let go of 8 and the barium with the CAT scans helped me drop another 5. Still I take responsibility for creating everything, so every ounce of the 43 pounds released are mine to be proud of too.

The funny thing is that as soon as I heard that indeed there is something going on inside there besides fat, I realized that I’m just as responsible creatively for the making the cyst as I am for creating the fat itself. One or the other, it doesn’t matter, it’s my body and I create it all.

I was blessed with being able to actually see it on a computer monitor after the CAT scans. And instead of horror, fear or any expected reaction, I felt this incredible sense of peace. Like the angels were holding me, sending me love and waves of acceptance that this wasn’t an end it was simply part of my journey.

I realized that the cyst is a part of me too, it’s made up of my cells, my body produced it and those cells take direction from my thoughts, like all the other cells in my body. It is absolutely nothing to be afraid of, only something created to experience and from which to learn. I can’t begin to imagine what I’ll learn about personal strength, focus and my body itself from this experience. But I’m open and allowing to all of it, whatever it brings.

I’ve even grown to love my big belly even more than I did before, when I experience a little ache or jab of pain from the cyst pushing against one of my organs or muscles, I gently rub the spot lovingly, like a pregnant woman who knows the birth will come soon. Or maybe more like a person who has found a magic Genie lamp and knows that by gently rubbing the surface she will release the Genie who will grant her all her dreams in the form of 3 wishes.

See, I knew from the moment the technician and my Dr. told me about the cyst that this was just part of this glorious adventure of discovery I’m on, it’s all part of the loving life journey I’m personally creating.

It’s not a bump in the road . . . it’s a scenic detour I didn’t anticipate, which will bring me unforeseen beauty I would not have wanted to miss.

And most of you can't expect past what is. That's your limitation. You find it hard to expect past what is. Stretch that expectation by listening, by feeling for it. And when you start feeling . . . oh, if you could feel what Source expects for you . . . . and that's why so often you feels such strong negative emotion . . . that's that fear and inadequacy you describe. Excerpted from an Abraham-Hicks workshop in Sedona, AZ on August 25th, 2007 (Abraham-hicks.com)

I’ll take you along with me. I’ll write when I’m inspired to write and I’ll do my best to share as honestly and deeply as my sense of personal privacy will allow me.

In the meantime . . . I’m so proud . . . 43 pounds released! Yee Haw!

(A response to a question from Susie)

Recently I received the following comment and question, and I'm delighted to respond:

Hello, Your story is really inspirational.
I am really trying to lose this weight I've gained with positive thinking, working out, and eating right but I honestly can say I have not had the great results you have. Maybe you can help me out in figuring out what I am doing wrong?

Thank you so much for your time,
Susie

Thank you Susie, it makes me feel so good to know that someone else is inspired by what I’m simply living and sharing.

I want to make sure you understand that I’m as much a student as I am a teacher. I have been finding the answers that work for me, and I love sharing them. However my only claim to expertise is that I am doing it myself, right now. And as I do, I learn and share with you. I give myself much credit for 15 years plus of spiritual work, but I’m creating this as I go. We are all students and teachers, those aspects of us are eternal.

I also want you to know that I’m very proud of you for doing what you are already doing, eating what you consider right, and exercising. It’s just wonderful that you are feeling inspired to begin your own adventure. Join me in giving yourself a great big hug and a pat on the back for creatively taking steps toward something you want very much in your life.

As far as figuring out what you are doing wrong . . . the answer is . . .

Nothing.

You aren’t doing anything wrong. You are simply making choices, and tweaking choices based on what works and what doesn’t work for you.

You can’t do anything wrong, because it’s all part of the learning process. Learning what works for you personally and what doesn’t.

Because . . . and this is very important . . . there is a perfect way for your personally to release weight. A way THAT WORKS perfectly for your life, your body, your health, your Spiritual outlook, your needs, your everything. There IS a way for you to become whatever you dream of becoming, you just have to feel your way to the special things that work for you.

And you can’t make any mistakes as you find you way to what is perfect for you, if something doesn't work, it wasn't wrong, it was just something you tried and discarded. It's not wrong to taste a new food. If it tastes bad to us we don't blame ourselves for tasting it, we just spit it out and try something else.

We just follow our guidance and fine tune our choices until we find what inspires us most and what feels most like our very own answers.

And even when we find the answers that work for us, life continually changes so we are always in a state of trying new things and letting go of old ones that no longer fit us. It’s an ongoing adventure and we simply can’t get it wrong.

You never get it done, and you cannot get it wrong. Life is supposed to be fun: you are creator, you are a focusing mechanism, and you are here in an environment that is very conducive to that. When you get hold of an idea, play it out for the pleasure in it. If you are doing it for any other reason, then you are not connecting to your Source Energy. Excerpted from an Abraham-Hicks workshop in Silver Springs, MD on Sunday, April 11th, 1999 (Abraham-Hicks.com)

OK, with that said, I have some questions for you to ask yourself:

How do you feel about what you’re doing? Does it feel like you are in control and creating the life of your dreams or does it feel like a diet/regime you are forcing yourself to accept and follow?

How important does releasing weight feel to you? Is it a lukewarm preference, because you know your life would be easier? Or is it your driving passion, is it a knowing you have that your destiny is to be thin, beautiful and full of vitality?

Maybe it’s somewhere in-between?

Why do you want to release weight? Is it a drive, a burning desire to look beautiful and feel energetic and vibrant? Does it warm your soul just thinking of yourself thin, active, beautiful and vibrating with health and vitality?

Exactly how much do you want to be vibrant, thin, healthy, flexible, energetic?

When you think of “losing weight” does it feel exciting, delightful and powerful to you? Or does it feel like a monkey on your back that you simply want to get off so you can get on with your life?

Do the steps you’re taking right now, your eating plan and exercise routine feel like natural and joyful steps taken toward your dream of releasing weight?

When you work out does it feel empowering to you? Like you are taking control of your life, taking your life and body into your hands and creating a thinner, healthier you?

Or does it feel like a chore you are forcing upon yourself in an attempt to make something happen that you really don’t believe you can ever achieve.

Does the plan you are on feel easy, fulfilling and comfortable to you? Does it feel like you are getting in synch and connecting with your body in a new and exciting way? That you’ve finally learned to follow it’s guidance and signals?

If you crave a food, can you eat it and confidently know your body is asking for it, and that it will take exactly what it needs from it and discard the rest? Does your plan inspire you with confidence in your success?

Does the plan you’re following feel like your plan, like it belongs to you? Does it fit perfectly with your life, your body’s needs and your likes and dislikes? Or does it feel like someone else’s idea of what ought to work for you, and which you are trying to stubbornly stick to regardless how it feels?

Do you believe you can do it?

Do you believe you can be whatever you want to be? Do you believe you can be thin, flexible, vibrant, healthy, sexy, toned, energetic and beautiful?

Do you honestly know both intellectually and emotionally that if you think positively, eat right and work out, that releasing weight and allowing thin are inevitable . . . it HAS to happen? Can you even imagine that under those circumstances it can actually be easy?

How about it being (I know this is hard to believe) . . . fun?

Are you beginning to feel this in not an albatross you’ve been stuck with, it’s your very own, exciting adventure of self-discovery, that belongs only to you and is completely controlled and created by you?

The thing about the Law Of Attraction is that for those of us who have created extra weight on our bodies, we used it to get here. We got where we are through years of feeling passionate about the subject.

We either straight out expected what we ate to make us fat, or we focused on our lack of thinness. We actually loathed/blamed ourselves for not looking like what other’s have determined/said we should.

We blamed ourselves because we couldn’t possibly stick to the unrealistic diets the experts told us would work if we would just _________ (fill in the blank from your own experience, “have enough willpower”, “quit eating chocolate forever”, “eat nothing but meat, or nothing but vegetables, or nothing but cabbage soup,” etc., etc., etc.)

We gained the weight by focusing on lack, on our fears, and by judging and blaming ourselves as not deserving of our dreams.

We passionately created it every time we opened a fashion magazine and focused on skinny models and blamed ourselves for not looking like them. Every time we read about the newest diet idea and cursed ourselves thinking “it won’t work for me”.

And we did it by ingesting a healthy dose of guilt along with every mouthful of food we ate. We gained because of the guilt . . . not the food.

With a lifetime of creating through doing those things, I found that for me, positive thinking and affirmations simply weren’t enough alone. They are great and very necessary tools, but they are only part of an overall Spiritual process.

I learned that until I changed how I felt about myself at a very deep and fundamental level, nothing worked for any extended period of time and certainly not permanently.

All my life, through the vibrations of lack, self-blame, frustration and anger, I invited the essence of fat into my life. My body became a magnificent testament to my powerful though unconscious creative abilities. My passionate feelings and thoughts about what I didn’t want, invited fat right into my life.

I didn’t even realize I was doing it, but I was, and I was creating a magnificently fat body in a powerful, continual, and unimaginably creative way! And believe me, it became a magnificent testament to my incredible creative power!

My Attention to It Invites the Essence of It. Anything you are giving your attention to is an invitation to the essence of it. Excerpted from Abraham-Hicks new book Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness

My passionate negative focus on fat invited fat into my life. I realized it was time to consciously invite the essence of what I wanted into my life.

I also realized that I couldn’t just focus on thin and attract it, because the word has been associated for too long with all sorts of lackful feelings for me. Affirmations like “I am thin!” didn’t work because I was carrying around the evidence it wasn’t true. I couldn’t just lie to myself and expect myself to buy it.

I had to pump up my passion and enthusiasm. Accept where my vibration had been, forgive myself for unknowingly creating it, and look for ways to change it. I started with simple things, and yes, affirmations were part of it. I began telling myself “I can do this, I CAN do this!”, a simple but very powerful affirmation for me. It was something I could believe. Now, it has become “I AM doing this!” which is even more powerful for me.

Being a “fat girl” has been a huge part of my identity all my life. That wasn’t going to be replaced easily by a bit of thinking positively alone.

I had to rethink completely how I see myself and I’ve had to come up with a new, personally chosen aspects of myself upon which to place my focus.

I had to start seeing myself as “releasing weight girl” and “allowing success girl”, I started to see that for me, releasing weight isn’t just a desire, it’s a life purpose. It’s now become the new part of my identity and it's strong enough to make me laugh and delight at still being a "fat girl" because I know now it's in my power to change it, I am changing it, and it's not going to be a name that will fit me forever.

Now . . . Allowing A Perfect Body has become as much a career for me as what I do at work all day. It’s one of the joys of my life, and it can be the same for you.

My relationship with my body, and the love affair I’m having with my Heart’s Desire of Allowing A Perfect Body is the most important relationship in my life. Because when I’m creating love and joy between me and my body, when I’m loving myself thin, I’m automatically attracting love and joy through every other relationship in my life.

So . . . are you passionate about your life, your body and this new exciting path you are on? Does it feel like a battle you are barely maintaining . . . or the most magnificent, exciting and powerful adventure of your life?

Ask yourself those questions, ask your Soul Self for guidance and you’ll begin to attract the answers you seek. It’s not about identifying what you’re doing wrong or even what you’re doing right.

It’s ALL about passionately feeling your way to your answers . . .

And I'm happy to be there to offer any inspiration I can, I KNOW you can do it!

Thank you so much for asking, sending you so much love,

It’s a wonderfully practical, step by step program for spiritually creating our deepest desires into our physical reality. I also have the audio program and honestly I don’t know which one is better. I sincerely recommend them both. I listened to the CDs each morning and evening on my drive to and from work for two weeks and then I sat down with the book and went over the parts I really wanted to clarify.

I think the most important thing I got out of it was realizing that my truest heart’s desire is, and has always been, to release my extra pounds and find my perfect place of body size and weight. It’s pretty much pivotal to every other desire of my life and has been from the time I was a toddler. I always wanted it more than anything else, but I never believed I could do it so I never thought of it as an obtainable heart’s desire.

Yet it took me some time to actually realize it was my biggest desire and that surprised me. Why would it not be obvious to me?

Sonia made pointed out it’s because I always felt powerless to do it in the past. Like somehow it was the one thing, the only thing I couldn’t actually create for myself. I had learned as a young girl if you don’t believe you can create it . . . don’t bother desiring it, don’t get your hopes up.

Her program made me look at it from a different angle. She said to take the “Can I do it? Is it possible in my life?” out of the equation. Ask myself not if I could do it, but only how important is it to me . . . how much do I want it.

She made me realize that desires aren’t based on probability or even possibility, they are simply desires. She says to asks ourselves the question “What is my heart’s desire?”

Which translated for me into: . “Is being slender, healthy, vibrant and free truly my heart’s desire?” When I asked myself that simple question, the answer too was simple . . . it always has been simple.

Yes . . . my heart’s desire is to embrace once and for all this aspect of my life. To do whatever is necessary to allow it to manifest physically for me. To experience whatever adventure is in it for me, and to put it behind me once and for all and move on to other adventures. It is also to share my adventure and what I learn from it along the way with other enlightened people who want answers too. Those thoughts stirred my soul in ways I can’t put into words.

Sonia taught me to respect my desire simply for belonging to me, for being mine. Not to judge their feasibility or the degree of effort, and not to think about how long it might take, but to embrace them, respect them, celebrate them and begin the process of nurturing and creating them.

With that understanding came a huge change in my perspective. I started seeing Allowing My Perfect Body as my passion, my purpose, not my curse. I started allowing the possibility that for me, this issue isn’t an issue at all, but a blessing. A huge blessing holding many, many layers of blessings within it’s depths. I started thinking about sharing it with other people facing the same confusion and frustration and suddenly the feelings as well as the words started pouring out of me again. And that release feels so good.

Sonia’s program gives practical step by step instructions, which are easy to follow and fun to do. It showed me how to take the focus off of food, eating and exercise and put it instead on the aspect of spiritually creating it.

It took my understanding of LOA as I learned from Abraham-Hicks to the next level, finding the feeling place of my desire. Up until this point that had been something to aspire to, but nothing I could actually hold on to for any length of time. With my new perspective I began to feel the joy, the fun, the delightful expectation of being in control of this most important aspect of my life.

And those feelings have stayed with me, firmly, as if carved in stone. For the first time in my life I don’t have that feeling of “yes, I’m motivated now and it feels good, but how do I hold on to it and keep myself motivated”.

It’s because I’m not particularly motivated, but I am completely inspired. And there’s a huge, huge difference between those two positions. Motivation comes from not wanting any more of what is, inspiration comes from knowing I have the power to change whatever is into whatever I want it to be.

Recognizing that the biggest, most enduring and deepest felt desire of my life is to forever be free of what I’ve always considered a burden . . . and in fact embrace it as my own personal adventure and learning/expansion/growth adventure . . . has freed me up to see the beauty and potential of it.

We would focus on everything that mattered to us. It is so satisfying to hold a thought and to find the feeling place and then see the Universe conspire to help you receive it. Oh, co-creation at its best. Excerpted from an Abraham-Hicks workshop in Chicago, IL on Sunday, November 1st, 1998 (Abraham-Hicks.com)

I realize there are hidden gems of awareness in it for me. There are lessons in strength, in outlook and in self awareness that I can’t begin to comprehend. It simply makes sense that something that has so long been a part of my life, a considered negative . . . would hold the keys to unlocking my biggest dreams.

And I am ready to find those keys, to enjoy the process and every moment of my greatest life adventure.

I hope you come along with me.

I wasn't surprised, I've learned, on most subjects, if I don’t focus my thoughts strongly in one direction, I tend to move slowly in the other . . . and that’s exactly what happened. For me, 25 pounds is not a great deal of weight, but it was enough that when I got on the scale I was at the highest weight I've ever been in my life. And those last few pounds seemed to push me over some edge that had me feeling a great deal less comfortable physically. I wasn't going in the direction I wanted so much to go, and my body was sweetly reminding me that for me it was the wrong direction.

Though, emotionally I wasn't upset about it in the least, I didn't berate myself for gaining. I didn't scold myself for not being able to do it all, tend to my Mom and myself too.

I was loving and accepting of myself. In fact I was proud of myself for handling everything as well as I did, and for coming through one of the most stressful times of my life with Grace and ease and only gaining a few pounds.

I knew gaining weight as normal for me considering what had been happening in my life. You see food was, after all, for most of my life the only way I knew to nurture myself. And while for a couple of years now I haven’t felt the compulsiveness I always did in the past, from my years of studying Abraham (Abraham-Hicks.com) I knew my thinking on the subject hadn’t changed sufficiently to prevent gaining weight from happening when things were so stressful for me. As in the past, I simply didn’t have the tools to choose another way.

However, when my responsibilities to my Mom ended, I began to feel a passion for creating and embracing a new chapter in my life. I felt an intoxicating freedom and desire to focus fully on my own experience and my own needs. It became a Spiritual need to change my body, while creating my deepest desires.

I also began experiencing what I can only describe as a hyper spiritualism after Mom crossed. I felt like having her in non-physical supercharged the currents of my connection. And simply knowing I have such an amazing group of souls on the other side working for me, and cheering me on . . . well that simply humbled me and inspired me in a way I can’t begin to explain.

When my Grandmother said “Think of it as eating rainbows!” she gave me a huge gift. The gift of fun. The gift of allowing something that’s always been an “issue” for me to be easy. The gift of new vision, new perspective and new joyful experience.

I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders (puns are always intended here) and it was replaced by a sense of fun and delightful anticipation.

I love thinking about what my Grandmother might inspire in me next. When I take a bite of fresh cucumber and it tastes better than cucumber ever has in my life, I know my Grandmother is enjoying that cucumber through me too.

Knowing along with me, my non-physical family are experiencing my life through me, gives me a sense of confidence I’ve never had before. Like the answers to all my questions, even those I haven’t formulated yet, are already here for me. All I have to do is relax and allow them to unveil exactly what I need as I need it.

It brings with it an understanding that success is not just guaranteed, it’s inevitable.

What a powerful position from which to approach and achieve a life time goal. A place where failure is “not an option”, in fact it’s not even considered. The idea of it is not even available, because it’s ludicrous.

That’s how I’ve been feeling lately, and the answers, the guidance, the inspiration has been flowing in exquisitely. And I am letting it all unfold Gracefully and gratefully.

I spent Memorial Day this year, the same way I would have if Mom were still here, I went to our town’s Memorial Day parade and spent the rest of the day tinkering around the house and releasing the past, preparing for a new chapter in my life. Then on Tuesday morning, I started to loosely follow the Flex Points system of Weight Watchers.

I’ve been on the plan in the past and I’ve always known, when I got serious about allowing myself to release the weight, for me it was the tool that works, one I can enjoy. I love that it doesn’t tell me what to eat, only gives me a structure of how to eat. It gives me a foundation on which to build my own personal health and vitality plan, based on my own body, my personal desires, tastes and needs.

I have no desire to go to the meetings, or use them to hold myself accountable. I know I’m much more capable of keeping myself encouraged than anyone else. And to me “accountable” means surrendering my control to someone else

I’m not suggesting this plan is right for anyone else. It might be, if you are like me, but I’ve learned that each one of us individually has to find the plan that is absolutely perfect for our own life. One based on our experience, needs, desires and feelings. And the only way to find that plan is to ask our Inner Guidance to lead us to it.

For me I love that on the Flex Point system there is no good and no bad list of foods, I choose from all of the abundant choices the Universe provides.

I’ve learned that I have to have that freedom. The minute I feel like anyone or any plan is telling me “you can’t eat this or that” I start feeling imprisoned and out of control. That feeling is a warning signal for me, telling me it isn’t right for me and it will never last.

Freedom has to be the foundation for anything I do in my life. I’ve just recently come to realize I must feel free to choose or not choose whatever I eat. I have to feel like what I am doing is entirely my choice, that I’m not doing it because it’s written in a book, or suggested by an expert.

I have to know if I’m choosing to eat carrot sticks, I’m doing it from an inspired place inside me, not because someone else believes they are what I should be eating to release weight.

I can look at a list of foods that are considered healthy, and if I’m feeling that freedom, It will look like the most delicious list of foods I can imagine. It can really look to me like a list of edible rainbows.

If I’m not feeling that freedom, it will look like the most boring, tasteless list of foods on the planet. The list doesn’t change, the foods don’t change, the difference is where my mind is, and how I’m feeling about my creative control of my own life.

It is not the action, not the food that you eat, that is the greater issue. It is the vibrational stance from which you take your action. There is a big difference between pushing against what you do not want, and relaxing into what you do want. G 1/23/93 Excerpted from the Abraham-Hicks Daily Calendar page 339 (Abraham-hicks.com)

I also love the fact that Weight Watchers has another plan, if I get tired of this one, I can switch over to that one, and back again if I like. I can tweak it and play with it and make it my own.

So far, it’s working beautifully for me. I lost 27½ pounds in the first 6 weeks on my new plan. It took me a year of unconscious eating to put on 25 pounds and 6 weeks of intentional eating to take them back off. Not too bad!

Now, I’m customizing it to fit my life, turning it into my own. I expect that will be an ongoing and fun passion for me, taking what they’ve created (bless them!) and sculpting it into exactly what works perfectly for me.

Until these last few months I never realized how important freedom was to me. I never saw the absence of freedom as why “diets” never worked for me. I’ve also started seeing ways in which freedom is the foundation of all the other areas of my life.

I’m learning so much about myself by simply following my Heart’s Desire.

I’m so glad those of you reading this are sharing the journey with me

Much love,
Tigerlily

The Next Stage Of My Life - Part Two - Eating Rainbows!

Hopefully you read my latest blog entry recently and are up to speed on how I was feeling after having asked to be astounded and I encountered the brilliance of the Universe’s abilities to inspire and delight me. If not, you might want to read it first or else this part may not mean as much.

After seeing the rainbow, and knowing I asked for it directly, I existed in a sort of delightful spiritual fog for the next few days, absolutely wallowing in my bliss.

Then came the evening of my appointment with Ann Albers the channel (Visionsofheaven.com). She is a lovely, warm person and I was really looking forward to every aspect of the call. As soon as we started talking she said “there’s a woman here for you” and then “oh, I remember her, she’s your Mom, and your Dad’s here too!”

Mom started immediately talking about uncluttering my life. Mom left us with a legacy of material possessions my sisters and I are going to have to deal with, and each of us with a different degree of inherited compulsive hoarding. I come from a family of collectors, or “packrats” according to Mom on the call.

Mom took responsibility for influencing us to be that way, and she talked about how too much insignificant physical “stuff” blocks our energy and holds us down. She said she had realized in non-physical that you can have anything you want, all you have to do is create it with your mind. She said she believes it’s the same way in physical too, but it’s best to surround yourself only with the stuff you really love and release all the other stuff you don’t feel attached to, back to the Universe to flow on to someone else.

Then Ann said there was another woman coming through, it was my Grandmother, my Mom’s Mom. And she was so excited to talk to me, she said she’d been watching over me for a long, long time. She crossed in 1978 and I got the immediate and warm feeling she’d been my guardian since she’d crossed.

Grandmother immediately asked “Do you know why you’ve been craving fruits and vegetables? . . . That’s me!”

She said that she had taken on the role of my inspiration to help me with food and weight. That she always loved food and still does and I had inspired her to gather all the information on the non-physical side she could find, to help me. She said she was enjoying learning about it now so she could turn around and inspire me. She had assigned herself the role of helping to open my mind and inspire me to healthy choices.

She said over the last few weeks, when I felt those little inspirations to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, it was her. And recently when I’ve been so attracted to all the different and beautiful colors of produce available, it was also her, inspiring me.

I knew instantly what she was talking about, because I’d been noticing a marked difference in my desires regarding food for the last few weeks, I had been noticing and really enjoying all the colors in the fresh produce department at the grocery store, and I’d been buying more bright, colorful foods. I’d make some amazing salads and feeling satisfied with them or steaming fresh vegetables instead of grabbing a fast food item.

Her next thing Grandmother said simply knocked both Ann and I out . . . she said “Think of it as eating rainbows!”

What a wonderful way of thinking about it! I was so surprised and grateful for her assistance.

Immediately I asked her “Did you send the rainbow!” and she said “Yes! Yes! That was me!”

I explained to Ann about the rainbow I’d seen a few days before. She was as delightfully surprised as I was by my Grandmother’s declaration. When I told her that I saw the rainbow upon leaving a grocery store after buying fruits and veggies, we both had a moment of utter awe.

During that call I learned that my sweet Mom and my wonderful Grandmother are part of my Spiritual support and inspiration team. Along with Spirit, the angels, fairies and guides is my dear Dad and three of my closest girlfriends who’ve crossed over. They are like my own personal guidance group and they just love inspiring me to create my life to match my dreams. I consider them my personal Grace Crew.

How’s that for power? For unlimited support and love inspiring me to do what I need to do to create my dreams?

There was much, much more to the call and honestly that one hour with my parents and Grandmother from non-physical and the angels has changed my life. Mom’s crossing started me on a new path, but learning and deeply feeling the wonderful connection to the people I love on the other side has instilled in me a remarkable sense of peace. A knowing that goes deeper than anything I’ve ever encountered before, and utter expectation for my future.

I suddenly realized “How is it possible to fail at anything when I have such amazing support on the other side?”

During the call, when we were talking about uncluttering my life, Ann mentioned a book about a spiritual program she had read called Creating Your Heart's Desire by Sonia Choquette. She said step 4 is all about that exact principle.

Another amazing synchronicity was that I happen to already have the book and I have the cassette tape series of the program, both gifts given me in the past. More so, even in my completely cluttered house, it turned out both the book and the tape album were right next to my computer when I hung up the phone. Believe me, the idea that it was at my fingertips and I didn’t have to hunt for it alone . . . was a miracle!

Turns out Sonia’s program was the next step in my amazing adventure and I’ll go into that soon on another post.

For now I want to say that we all have a Spiritual circle of angels, family, friends and spiritual beings watching over us. I’ve been blessed by my Mom with a deep understanding of my connection to them. And blessed by Ann with the honor of having talked to them and feel my connection to them in a new, incredibly deep way.

I know that we all have it. We each have our own personal connection to Spirit, and to all of non-physical, all we have to do is believe it, nurture it, and allow it.

And tapping into that strength, perseverance, humor and love has filled me with an almost steel like resolve, that I know I can do anything . . . absolutely anything . . . to which I put the creative force of my mind and the power of my spirit.

It’s taken me a long time to get to this place of complete knowing and confidence . . . a lifetime. But the feeling is definitely worth the wait.

I’ve been absent from writing here in my beloved blog, while I finalized one chapter of my life. I’ve missed it terribly, but I had to do what I had to do, I had to honor my own timing and my needs.

But now, I am incredibly ready to embrace huge change and amazing new experiences in my life. I’m open to the guidance of my Grandmother and all else who want to inspire me to accomplish the biggest desire of my life . . . that of Allowing My Perfect Body.

I hope you join me on my adventure!

Actually I deeply feel the mastery of the Universe in my life these last 6 months or so, so much more than ever before. I feel intimately attached to the power that determines the tides, sends the wind and arranges for all the synchronicities/coincidences in life.

A couple of weeks after my Mom crossed, my sister received a free reading from a hugely talented channel, Ann Albers (http://www.visionsofheaven.com/). A friend had made the appointment and then not been able to keep it so she passed it along to my sister. Ann, the channel has a very long waiting list for new clients and is booked a year in advance, so the timing was nothing less than a miracle.

It was a wonderful reading for my sister and it brought a sense of peace to all of us, just hearing from Mom for the first time after her crossing. For me, while I already was at peace with her passing, the reading still gave me a further sense of completion and peace.

Mom extolled about how good it felt to be out of her old, worn out body and how amazing it was on the other side. She beamed about how wonderful it was to be with my Father again after so many years, and she admitted that she had missed him much more than she had tried to let on to us. She even joked about how if she’d known it was this wonderful, she’d have gone a whole lot earlier!

The thing she said that touched me the deepest by it’s incredible beauty was she described the moment of her passing. She said while she was completely ready to go, her only concern was for us . . . her girls, she so wanted it to be easy on us. She said when the final moment came, as she was laying in the hospital bed and she felt the gentle and familiar presence of my Fathers arms wrapping around her. It felt so wonderful after all those years that all she did was simply let go into his embrace . . . and that was it . . . she crossed over.

The peace of that simply astounds me and warms my soul.

I knew as soon as I heard the reading, I had to have a reading of my own, so I contacted Ann and asked her if she could put me on her waiting list. She was so kind, and offered to bump me to the front of her list because I was “family”, she had really enjoyed reading for my sister and adored the loving energy of my parents. The Universe went to work and within a few weeks she had an opening on her incredibly booked schedule which she offered and I jumped on.

In the meantime while I waited for my appointment, I was surprised by growing desires in me to eat healthier. I was feeling more intrigued by brightly colored peppers than I was a brightly colored bag of chips. I noticed feeling more satisfied with a salad, and truly surprising . . . less dressing . . . than I was with a serving of chili cheese fries. I was really enjoying the changes in me and the feeling of surprise they ignited in me. I became enamored with that feeling of being surprised and I wanted more, bigger, I wanted to feel astounded.

I had felt it a few times lately, and before that I hadn’t felt that particular emotion for a very long time. That feeling of absolute awe. The feeling of something bigger than all of us . . . in control . . . strutting her stuff for out benefit. That feeling of delightful surprise mixed with knowing and awe.

I had been asking Grace to astound me for a week or so. I didn’t try to put boundaries on it, or a timeframe, I just asked Spirit to astound me in delightful ways and then I accepted that I had been heard and I waited in expectation for when and what would come.

You've asked; the Universe is doing it's work; it is answering. Your work is to get into this place where you joyfully receive it. You can't take score about when it's coming or where it's coming, or how it's coming. In other words, you accept, in this faith-based attitude, it is coming, and all is well. And as you do that, Ahhhhhhhhh. Excerpted from an Abraham-Hicks (abraham-hicks.com) workshop in North Los Angeles CA on March 2, 2002

About a week before my reading I was coming home from work on the expressway and it was one of those strange days, with dark clouds on one side of the road and the sun glimmering on the other. I had been flying along with the rest of the traffic at 70MPH but came up behind a car going slower. I was in the slow lane and looked back to see about getting over and passing it, but then the thought struck me “what’s your hurry?” I was getting off at the next stop a mile or so ahead, why was I rushing? So I slowed down and enjoyed the bizarre sky, both aspects of it the dark and the light. It really was a beautiful day.

About 10 minutes later, I was slowing down for a red light when I felt my tire start going flat, by the time I got to the intersection, it was completely down to the rim! I pulled into the turn lane because I knew there was a tire store within two blocks. I made it around the corner and limped into the store with a huge smile on my face. I couldn’t stop thinking of the difference between this event and what would have happened if it had blown as I was flying down the interstate!

Within 10 minutes I had another tire put on (and even got a great deal on it) and was pulling back out of the parking lot. I certainly felt the hand of Spirit in those circumstances and I was definitely in awe.

I considered the whole experience pretty astounding and I was just gushing to Grace how while it might have not been what I was expecting, I still deeply appreciated her answer to my request!

I was still wallowing in my bliss as I went to the grocery store down the street. It was where I was headed when the tire went flat. I walked through the grocery store buying veggies and fruit with a manic grin on my face, loving the feeling of being answered by Grace. As I walked out the door I couldn’t help but notice the weather, the sun was simply beaming from the left and as I looked toward the right where the thunderstorm had moved to, amongst the dark clouds I saw the most astounding rainbow I’ve ever seen in my life.

It encompassed the entire horizon, a full arch. I turned to face it and to the right it looked as if it ended somewhere down the road a way and to the left, the other end looked like it ended at my home a couple of miles the other way.

I stood there until I realized my mouth was gaping wide open and I was standing in the middle of a lane in a parking lot. I looked around and there were about 8 other people all doing the same thing I was doing, staring at this beautiful present in complete awe. The guy closest to me was snapping shots with his camera phone.

I’ve only seen a few rainbows in my life and I’ve never seen the full arch from one part of the horizon to the other. I’d seen pictures of them and shot out rockets of desire to see one myself one day. But I never dreamed, in answer to my vague asking, God would provide such a gift to all of us who saw it that day.

This wasn’t just a matter of “wow that’s cool” for me, it was absolutely one of the most amazing natural experiences of my life (so far). And to have it happen in succession with the tire blowing and knowing it was all an answer to my asking . . . well I was pretty much in a state of wonderful shock. My request had been most profoundly answered and done so in a way that was much, much bigger and grander than I ever could have dreamed.

I took it as a sign that if I just kept focusing on my wonderful life, be grateful for every aspect of it, and leave the details to Spirit, the how’s and the when’s, my life too would turn out much bigger, much grander than I could ever dream.

I stood there for a long time in amazement, just wallowing in my bliss.

Eventually I followed that rainbow all the way home.

I’ll post part two of my adventures soon.
