How does what you're doing feel to you? (A response to a question from Susie)
Recently I received the following comment and question, and I'm delighted to respond:
Hello, Your story is really inspirational.
I am really trying to lose this weight I've gained with positive thinking, working out, and eating right but I honestly can say I have not had the great results you have. Maybe you can help me out in figuring out what I am doing wrong?
Thank you so much for your time,
Susie
Thank you Susie, it makes me feel so good to know that someone else is inspired by what I’m simply living and sharing.
I want to make sure you understand that I’m as much a student as I am a teacher. I have been finding the answers that work for me, and I love sharing them. However my only claim to expertise is that I am doing it myself, right now. And as I do, I learn and share with you. I give myself much credit for 15 years plus of spiritual work, but I’m creating this as I go. We are all students and teachers, those aspects of us are eternal.
I also want you to know that I’m very proud of you for doing what you are already doing, eating what you consider right, and exercising. It’s just wonderful that you are feeling inspired to begin your own adventure. Join me in giving yourself a great big hug and a pat on the back for creatively taking steps toward something you want very much in your life.
As far as figuring out what you are doing wrong . . . the answer is . . .
Nothing.
You aren’t doing anything wrong. You are simply making choices, and tweaking choices based on what works and what doesn’t work for you.
You can’t do anything wrong, because it’s all part of the learning process. Learning what works for you personally and what doesn’t.
Because . . . and this is very important . . . there is a perfect way for your personally to release weight. A way THAT WORKS perfectly for your life, your body, your health, your Spiritual outlook, your needs, your everything. There IS a way for you to become whatever you dream of becoming, you just have to feel your way to the special things that work for you.
And you can’t make any mistakes as you find you way to what is perfect for you, if something doesn't work, it wasn't wrong, it was just something you tried and discarded. It's not wrong to taste a new food. If it tastes bad to us we don't blame ourselves for tasting it, we just spit it out and try something else.
We just follow our guidance and fine tune our choices until we find what inspires us most and what feels most like our very own answers.
And even when we find the answers that work for us, life continually changes so we are always in a state of trying new things and letting go of old ones that no longer fit us. It’s an ongoing adventure and we simply can’t get it wrong.
You never get it done, and you cannot get it wrong. Life is supposed to be fun: you are creator, you are a focusing mechanism, and you are here in an environment that is very conducive to that. When you get hold of an idea, play it out for the pleasure in it. If you are doing it for any other reason, then you are not connecting to your Source Energy. OK, with that said, I have some questions for you to ask yourself:
How do you feel about what you’re doing? Does it feel like you are in control and creating the life of your dreams or does it feel like a diet/regime you are forcing yourself to accept and follow?
How important does releasing weight feel to you? Is it a lukewarm preference, because you know your life would be easier? Or is it your driving passion, is it a knowing you have that your destiny is to be thin, beautiful and full of vitality?
Maybe it’s somewhere in-between?
Why do you want to release weight? Is it a drive, a burning desire to look beautiful and feel energetic and vibrant? Does it warm your soul just thinking of yourself thin, active, beautiful and vibrating with health and vitality?
Exactly how much do you want to be vibrant, thin, healthy, flexible, energetic?
When you think of “losing weight” does it feel exciting, delightful and powerful to you? Or does it feel like a monkey on your back that you simply want to get off so you can get on with your life?
Do the steps you’re taking right now, your eating plan and exercise routine feel like natural and joyful steps taken toward your dream of releasing weight?
When you work out does it feel empowering to you? Like you are taking control of your life, taking your life and body into your hands and creating a thinner, healthier you?
Or does it feel like a chore you are forcing upon yourself in an attempt to make something happen that you really don’t believe you can ever achieve.
Does the plan you are on feel easy, fulfilling and comfortable to you? Does it feel like you are getting in synch and connecting with your body in a new and exciting way? That you’ve finally learned to follow it’s guidance and signals?
If you crave a food, can you eat it and confidently know your body is asking for it, and that it will take exactly what it needs from it and discard the rest? Does your plan inspire you with confidence in your success?
Does the plan you’re following feel like your plan, like it belongs to you? Does it fit perfectly with your life, your body’s needs and your likes and dislikes? Or does it feel like someone else’s idea of what ought to work for you, and which you are trying to stubbornly stick to regardless how it feels?
Do you believe you can do it?
Do you believe you can be whatever you want to be? Do you believe you can be thin, flexible, vibrant, healthy, sexy, toned, energetic and beautiful?
Do you honestly know both intellectually and emotionally that if you think positively, eat right and work out, that releasing weight and allowing thin are inevitable . . . it HAS to happen? Can you even imagine that under those circumstances it can actually be easy?
How about it being (I know this is hard to believe) . . . fun?
Are you beginning to feel this in not an albatross you’ve been stuck with, it’s your very own, exciting adventure of self-discovery, that belongs only to you and is completely controlled and created by you?
The thing about the Law Of Attraction is that for those of us who have created extra weight on our bodies, we used it to get here. We got where we are through years of feeling passionate about the subject.
We either straight out expected what we ate to make us fat, or we focused on our lack of thinness. We actually loathed/blamed ourselves for not looking like what other’s have determined/said we should.
We blamed ourselves because we couldn’t possibly stick to the unrealistic diets the experts told us would work if we would just _________ (fill in the blank from your own experience, “have enough willpower”, “quit eating chocolate forever”, “eat nothing but meat, or nothing but vegetables, or nothing but cabbage soup,” etc., etc., etc.)
We gained the weight by focusing on lack, on our fears, and by judging and blaming ourselves as not deserving of our dreams.
We passionately created it every time we opened a fashion magazine and focused on skinny models and blamed ourselves for not looking like them. Every time we read about the newest diet idea and cursed ourselves thinking “it won’t work for me”.
And we did it by ingesting a healthy dose of guilt along with every mouthful of food we ate. We gained because of the guilt . . . not the food.
With a lifetime of creating through doing those things, I found that for me, positive thinking and affirmations simply weren’t enough alone. They are great and very necessary tools, but they are only part of an overall Spiritual process.
I learned that until I changed how I felt about myself at a very deep and fundamental level, nothing worked for any extended period of time and certainly not permanently.
All my life, through the vibrations of lack, self-blame, frustration and anger, I invited the essence of fat into my life. My body became a magnificent testament to my powerful though unconscious creative abilities. My passionate feelings and thoughts about what I didn’t want, invited fat right into my life.
I didn’t even realize I was doing it, but I was, and I was creating a magnificently fat body in a powerful, continual, and unimaginably creative way! And believe me, it became a magnificent testament to my incredible creative power!
My Attention to It Invites the Essence of It. Anything you are giving your attention to is an invitation to the essence of it. Excerpted from Abraham-Hicks new book Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness
My passionate negative focus on fat invited fat into my life. I realized it was time to consciously invite the essence of what I wanted into my life.
I also realized that I couldn’t just focus on thin and attract it, because the word has been associated for too long with all sorts of lackful feelings for me. Affirmations like “I am thin!” didn’t work because I was carrying around the evidence it wasn’t true. I couldn’t just lie to myself and expect myself to buy it.
I had to pump up my passion and enthusiasm. Accept where my vibration had been, forgive myself for unknowingly creating it, and look for ways to change it. I started with simple things, and yes, affirmations were part of it. I began telling myself “I can do this, I CAN do this!”, a simple but very powerful affirmation for me. It was something I could believe. Now, it has become “I AM doing this!” which is even more powerful for me.
Being a “fat girl” has been a huge part of my identity all my life. That wasn’t going to be replaced easily by a bit of thinking positively alone.
I had to rethink completely how I see myself and I’ve had to come up with a new, personally chosen aspects of myself upon which to place my focus.
I had to start seeing myself as “releasing weight girl” and “allowing success girl”, I started to see that for me, releasing weight isn’t just a desire, it’s a life purpose. It’s now become the new part of my identity and it's strong enough to make me laugh and delight at still being a "fat girl" because I know now it's in my power to change it, I am changing it, and it's not going to be a name that will fit me forever.
Now . . . Allowing A Perfect Body has become as much a career for me as what I do at work all day. It’s one of the joys of my life, and it can be the same for you.
My relationship with my body, and the love affair I’m having with my Heart’s Desire of Allowing A Perfect Body is the most important relationship in my life. Because when I’m creating love and joy between me and my body, when I’m loving myself thin, I’m automatically attracting love and joy through every other relationship in my life.
So . . . are you passionate about your life, your body and this new exciting path you are on? Does it feel like a battle you are barely maintaining . . . or the most magnificent, exciting and powerful adventure of your life?
Ask yourself those questions, ask your Soul Self for guidance and you’ll begin to attract the answers you seek. It’s not about identifying what you’re doing wrong or even what you’re doing right.
It’s ALL about passionately feeling your way to your answers . . .
And I'm happy to be there to offer any inspiration I can, I KNOW you can do it!
Thank you so much for asking, sending you so much love,
Tigerlily

Thank you so much!! Your passion shows very much through your words.
