What do you think metabolism is? Abraham-Hicks Quote
"What do you think metabolism is?
Knowing you look good, feeling great that you look good, knowing that they know you look good. Scene is over.
In other words, you must go that long . . . or you remember being dressed in something that you felt really good in, and you remember somebody else who you didn't even know, meeting you in an elevator and saying, "you are really beautiful in that." Scene is over.
You get a sense of it? In other words, you must find a little snatch . . . revel in it for a moment and leave. And what happens is you begin to activate that part of you so much, that now, even though a reality is different from what you are living, you have different things activated within you, so everything starts responding to you according to your different activation.
When you feel fat your food makes you fatter – it does! When you feel slender your food keeps you slender – it does!
You must understand that because you see people eating similarly with very different results, and you say, "oh yeah, it's their metabolism," and we say, what do you think metabolism is?!?
Metabolism is vibrational response to your moment in time. Metabolism is the way the energy is moving through your body, you see. And so *everything* is in response to the way that you feel.
Everything is.
Everything is mind over matter. Every disease is mental first. Everything is about thought. Everything is about vibration. Everything is about the way you feel. Practice scenarios that feel good, and never mind reality.
Reality is only a brief moment in time that you keep repeating."

Hi Tiger Lily: Enjoyed the above quote very much.
Been pondering and reading today, "Ask and It Is Given", for the second time. Pondering especially that example that Abe likes to use of the trip from Phoenix to San Diego; how if we keep heading for SD we will surely get there, but if we keep getting turned around and heading back toward Phoenix, it can feel as if we will NEVER make it to SD. Somehow, on our journey to San Diego, we have to take our focus off where we have been and even where we are now, and focus only on where we are going. And feel good while we're heading there! Yeah.
So I started applying that to the numbers on the scale, which I've been pretty much ignoring for three months now. And I realized that what we need is a digital scale that only shows us our goal. In other words, you program in where you are and where you want to be, and each time you hop on it reads the number of pounds you have left to "travel". You never see the "reality" of what you weigh now, you never compare yourself to where you have been. You just say, "I've got 115 miles to go, I am heading in the right direction, and this feels good." I wonder who we should talk to about manufacturing The Abe scale? :o)
Seriously though, it's now become clear to me that 35 years of dieting has inextricably implanted ideas in my head about what is fattening, what is not, and what it takes to lose weight. I've been hoping I could gently let go those ideas, that maybe no "action journey" was really necessary. The net result of the three month experiment has been that I've traveled back toward Phoenix about eight miles, my apnea has returned, I'm not getting good sleep, so I'm pooped all the time, so I'm stress eating, so I'm even more so on my weigh (!) back to Phoenix!!!
Tiger Lily, how to incorporate a powerful, Abe-like action journey? How to weave it into the LOA fabric? There must be a way to do it. Yet every time recently when I have tried to limit my intake or avoid eating certain foods, I find my inner self rebelling. I am most certainly not in joy. And Abe says action should never be taken without JOY.
Thoughts? Anyone?

First of all Radiance Project, I want to say I believe your Abe Scale idea is genius! I think it's a phenomenal idea and I'd love to see it become a reality!
I'd like for it to have the flexibility to be set either in total weight/miles to go, or in increments chosen by the user, like 25 or 50 at a time (for anyone whose total may seem overwhelming). I believe it would be a real blessing for people!
That is the basis of Abraham's (Abraham-Hicks) message, always forward, always confidently expecting, knowing we will get there.
I also think it would be wonderful if you could incorporate positive affirmations into your Abe Scale too, such as when you step on it, it announces out loud to you how far you have yet to go, and then is backed up by saying "You are a magnificent creator, and this aspect of your journey is easy for you!" or "You are a master at releasing weight and creating health and vitality!" Isn't that a scale anyone would want to jump on?
Additionally, your questions about "how to incorporate a powerful, Abe-like action journey" has been on my mind too lately. That's a very big question for me, the line between action and inspiration.
And I want to say that I don't believe you were headed back toward Phoenix unless you believe you were, pounds gained or not. Sometimes the steps that feel like they are headed back to Phoenix are actually some of the most powerfully focused steps toward San Diego. We just can't see the true direction of them as we are in the midst of them.
I don't believe that miles that appear to be headed back toward Phoenix are really "backward miles". Because Abraham also says we really never go backward, life is always forward, it just feels like we are headed backwards to us at times.
In truth those 8 miles were more of a side trip, which helped you clarify your desires. Helped you determine what you don't want more strongly and more succinctly than you had before. Giving more power to the vibration of what you do want.
And yes, I too wonder "how much clarity do I need?" Sometimes it feels like I've been clarifying my weight loss desires my whole life. But in truth I know it's really about my own lack of belief in my power as the creator of my life, and therefore my ability to change what I've created.
Those 8 miles don't matter, and they don't mean you've gone backwards, they simply mean that you aren't where you want to be yet. The whole idea of up and down, back and forth is based on our basic lack of faith that the journey as well as the destination are inevitable. That it doesn't matter how many little side trips we make, we will get there, we must, it's inevitable.
Yes, there absolutely are ways to do it, and I'm getting some incredible insights from my inner spirit on the whys and the hows for me. I'm in the process now of writing on this exact subject for a new post. Stay tuned!
Thank you!
Much love,

This is fantastic! I've lived this one out this very week. I got over being mad at myself for gaining weight after going through divorce. Now, I've been practicing how it felt a year ago..and remembering how good I felt...and exercising as if I didn't take anytime off...and carrying myself as though I was back in the body I love (meanwhilst trying to Really love the body I'm in) and what happened? Two neighbors lavished compliments about having dropped some weight...one good friend said more of the same...so much so that I decided to weigh myself...NO CHANGE...however...MUCH CHANGE in the heart and it is being reflected outward...the scale will catch up to this inward image for sure! Blessings to you!

Thank you! I'm so glad to hear how you have let go of your anger at yourself and are now embracing your power to create a vibration of perfect weight and health. Mining old memories for vibrational nuggets on which to build. It really is about that loving vibration, creating it and living it so fully that what you desire simply must come to you.
You said "MUCH CHANGE in the heart and it is being reflected outward...the scale will catch up to this inward image for sure!" That is so beautiful, and exactly what Abraham (Abraham-Hicks) and the Law Of Attraction teaches us. Congratulations!

Hi Tiger Lily: I'm glad you like the Abe Scale idea. I LOVE your idea about adding the audio affirmations a la Abe. I got so excited I sent an email to Jerry and Esther asking if they wanted to co-create this scale with us. What could be more fun!?
I will also look forward to your ideas about inspired action journeys. Thanks for your encouragement about the 8 miles; I like your take on it.

In one of their cds, AH describes a columnar pad game for weight loss similar to their debt free columnar pad game. I have a zillion of their cds but can't find that track now. Anyone remember which workshop, so I can look it up? Thanks, and LOVE your site!
